Joining a SSEA Committee is a great way to get involved in our programs. Committee Members are asked to dedicate at least four hours per month to their committee goals.

Volunteers will help SSEA support its program that focuses on the South Puget Sound and its estuaries and marine environment. There are a variety of ways to get involved with SSEA: Community Outreach, Special Events, Fundraising/Development/Membership, Marketing, and Curriculum/Education.  Currently, SSEA is recruiting for the following committees:

Development Team: Volunteers support SSEA’s major fundraising Benefit “Cruising for the Sound”, held yearly in the fall; grant writing; volunteer recognition events; other fundraising and outreach events.  Meets monthly.  contact if interested in joining this group.

Membership: Help SSEA support membership functions and recruitment of new members.

Marketing:  Develop and distribute marketing materials for SSEA events and functions.

Education/Curriculum: develops curriculum/educational offerings for the Estuarium and on the beach work.  contact or if interested in this committee’s important work.
