Cultural Exhibit Virtual Debut

Over the last few months at the Estuarium we have been hard at work putting together a Cultural exhibit honoring the First Peoples of the Salish Sea. Since we are unable to invite you to our facility to see it in person, we’ve decided to share a snippet of it online!

Puget Sound’s First Peoples have a long and rich history with this unique estuarine ecosystem. In this exhibit we sought to explore that history, get inspired by the leadership in conservation efforts from local tribes, and connect our team and patrons with resources to become effective stewards of this land, the way the tribes have done since time immemorial.

Please enjoy these three infographic panels created by our Outreach Coordinator, Elisa with the support of the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission (NWIFC), Nisqually Tribe and Squaxin Island Tribe.
